My Labor Day weekend got short by work.  I had to be in the office at midnight Monday morning.  I didn’t want everyone to have to cut their weekend short too, so I drove myself separately to J’s parents near Sturgis.  The plan was for me to come home Sunday afternoon while J and the kids would stay for another day.

We spent the day park hopping in Sturgis after a treat from Kukui’s Shaved Ice downtown.  It was too cold to get in the water and J’s parents lost power so for everyone’s sanity, we let the kids run around for a couple of hours.

I packed up my stuff to head back to Kalamazoo around 5:00.  I needed to make a stop in Centreville for gas and while there, I decided to call in a pizza order.

I picked Big Tony’s Pizzeria in Marcellus.  It really wasn’t on the way home but it wasn’t too far away.  I was also doing some research for my cousins who have a place on Pleasant Lake.  They’re not wild about the pizza options in Three Rivers and Marcellus wouldn’t be too far away from them if the pizza is any good.

Big Tony’s Pizzeria is on Centre Street which is also M-40 through the small town.  The building is a pretty large metal building just south of where M-40 turns east in downtown Marcellus.

Pre-COVID, there was a pretty large dining room inside the building but now there’s a sign on the door pointing to an open window where pizzas are picked up and paid for.

That black arrow leads to a window just a few feet away.

They’ve added table to the opening of the window and placed a bell there. It said to ring bell for service so I did.

I heard someone yell from the kitchen that they’d be right there. As a woman was walking towards the window she asked my name. I gave it to her and she turned around to head back to grab the box. When she came back, I paid the $18 for the large all meat pizza on my card then headed to Kalamazoo to watch some NASCAR and eat dinner before heading to bed.

The pizza is a fairly thin crust sort of in the Chicago Tavern style of pizza. It’s even cut in to squares which is pretty standard in the dive bars on the south side of the city.

There was a lot of meat packed on top of the thick, golden layer of mozzarella cheese. Pepperoni, ground beef, sausage, ham, and bacon all make an appearance on this pizza. The amount of meat made things a little greasy but in that delicious greasy pizza kind of way.

The crust could be a little more crispy for my liking but it wasn’t really doughy or chewy. That would actually be my only quasi-complaint.

My mission with taking the detour to Marcellus was to see if there was pizza I would recommend to my cousins who have a place on Pleasant Lake and the answer is yes…definitely. I get nostalgic whenever pizza is cut in to squares but it also instantly raises the bar. The pizza from Big Tony’s doesn’t have the crispiness of a traditional Chicago Tavern pizza but it is a pretty delicious entry into the pizza landscape of Southwest Michigan.

That’s how it’s done in the neighborhood taverns in Chicago. Thin crust cut into squares or strips….not triangles. It’s how you know you’re in a good restaurant on the South Side.

Your child will play with the friv games, then eat. Let your child touch the food, help him to play with the food. Allow him to take his fingers to his mouth. So eating, eating, eating should be as enjoyable as playing a game. Small colored plates, heart-shaped breakfast plates, prepared lunches such as picnicking, dinner prepared like playing house, can be transformed into a pleasurable event made with family.

It seems difficult for mothers and fathers to give their children food in front of television. Instead they need to turn off the television. Friv needs to find solutions that will increase interest and desire. For example, funny facial shapes, simple games such as airplane flying, eating games for toddlers, interesting and entertaining to eat contribute to your child’s movement and cognitive development. When your child is hungry, he can feel grumpy and cry without any reason. Most of the time, these reactions are outdoors. It is necessary to evaluate this reaction well and encourage the child to eat.

Can children who do not eat food add a habit of eating with the game?
Of course, the game at friv 2 is very important for the development of a child. However, the game should be applied up to 2 years of age. The game can be cooked until 2 years of age, after which the game is not suitable for eating and eating habits. Because we can apply certain rules, we have to give this habit to the child from their early ages. It is an important role model for the child to eat together with the family, to sit in the table together. Even if you have not eaten your food, sitting in the family cafeteria is important for the development of the child.
It is best not to make your meal times boring. This is also very important in terms of communication with children. A child who does not eat will want to have a loud tone and different and abrasive expressions will be used. I think it is also important in terms of food.
You can make your child’s dinner sessions more engaging at some point. But do not take it to the point of a child who opens your mouth like a robot in every advertising cycle, sitting in front of friv unblocked video-recorded ads.Link http://friv.party/
