Thanksgiving 2015
EDIT 11/20/16 – Here’s a link to the 2016 version of this post. There’s only a couple of changes. Most of it is exactly the same.
I’ve been getting a lot of traffic for a post I wrote five years ago about Thanksgiving Day options. I figured I should probably update for those of you looking for something to do instead of Turkey. As always, call ahead to make sure, but here’s what I’ve been able to find. If you know of another restaurant open (that’s not fast food) please let me know in either the comments or email me swmichdining@charter.net

If you’re in the Grand Rapids area, the Grand Rapids Press had a really good list of brunches and places open on Thanksgiving.
POST THANKSGIVING NOTE (11/28/15) I also noticed that Rugger’s Up and Under was open all day on Thanksgiving. Alamo Drafthouse was open if you wanted to see a movie and pick up lunch and Rupert’s Brew House was open when I drove by around 4:00 although they don’t serve food.
Actually centre street tap house is not open at all I just wanted you to be aware. I am a bartender and manager there.
Website showed it was. Sorry about that. I will take it off the list. Thanks!
Would this list still apply in 2016?
Honestly, not sure. It’s probably a good place to start looking though. I haven’t really had time to go search for open places.
