Could Giordano’s Be Coming?

How great would that be? Chicago pizza chain Giordano’s announced today that they will be undergoing a major expansion. According to Crain’s Chicago Business, the pizza chain is looking to expand by 86 stores with a focus on college towns and Michigan and Wisconsin. Kalamazoo is both a college town and in Michigan…..here’s hoping, right 🙂

A stuffed Giordano’s pizza is hard to beat… though I am concerned that the locations opening up in Michigan maybe franchise locations. In my experience the franchised Giordano’s were not quite up to par to some of the original locations in Chicago. But either which way when they open up in Michigan, I will be that much closer to a beloved stuffed pizza.
I’m sure they will be franchises…but Giordano’s franchises are nothing like Pizzeria Uno’s awful attempt….I would be happy just to have another “slice” of Chicago in West Michigan.
